JOHANNESBURG – Gauteng emergency services workers have accused their employer of flouting labour laws and corruption.

The workers say they’re treated unfairly by working long hours without adequate pay.

They marched to Luthuli House on Thursday.

Gauteng emergency workers’ Sifiso Dlamini has accused the provincial director Kgati Molebane of, among other things, being corrupt.

“I said Kgati Molebane we want to avoid, and he said: go ahead because we are controlling ANC in Gauteng.”

But Molebane has refuted all claims.

“That is not true and I’m not even willing to honour that with a response.”

He also says no services were disrupted during Thursday’s protest because all those who attended the march were off duty.
