Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have detained a local deputy who extorted bribes from military personnel in exchange for the opportunity to stay in the rear.

The arrest operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine. The detained man is a military man and a deputy of the territorial community. He is suspected of taking a bribe. The deputy promised the mobilized soldier to avoid going to the front for money.
In particular, he demanded six thousand dollars. For this money, he would arrange for him to work in the rear.
The senior lieutenant and his accomplice were detained while transferring the money. An investigation is underway.
