Peru’s general secretary of presidential office, Carlos Jaico Carranza, has resigned due to disorder in the presidential office, which is the scope for corruption.
Carranza wrote about this on his Twitter page.
The official pointed to the lack of discipline and disorganization of the administration workers.
– This disorder led to major management and decision-making errors that could create spaces for corruption, – he said in his resignation letter.
The official also spoke about the similarity of the “shadow cabinet” of presidential advisers, which complicates the management of the country.
Moreover, Carranza noted that members of the government and representatives of civil society have long asked President Pedro Castillo to change his advisers. However, the requests were ignored.
