Taking the corruption-free pledge will put an end to criticism of the police force, says Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad.
“There are always sarcastic voices criticising the police without basis, but these will be silenced with the entire police force signing the corruption-free pledge,” he said during a speech at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) here (Kuala Lumpur).
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the Royal Malaysian Police was committed towards upholding the integrity of its personnel.
“Signing the pledge is a symbol of our commitment. The police force has always prioritised integrity in giving the best service to the public,” he said in his speech before the signing of the corruption-free pledge on Monday.
He added that the pledge involved all police contingents nationwide.
