Perfect World Entertainment and Motiga announced that the ‘Corruption’ update for Gigantic is now live. It is the first major update since the launch of the game. The update features new systems and polish to the game, as well as Custom Lobbies and a push-to-talk control for in-game chatting. Also featured is a new character, Oru.
Oru is a new character in the ‘Corruption’ update. Oru is a mischief maker and mid-range damage dealer and caster. He combines skills to deal high damage and provides protection in the form of crowd control. Also available is a set of skins for Oru in the shop: Mordant, Voracious, and Garrulous.
Custom Lobbies are also available. Currently available as a beta feature, Custom Lobbies allow players to organize 5V5 matches without a general matchmaking pool. Push-to-talk is available for in-game chatting and is selectable from the settings menu. A new mechanic is also available called Creature Gestation. This allows those at the higher levels through strategic manipulation of a window to attack and counter while enemies are still vulnerable.
