Last month, she failed to explain to the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Crime_Agency\">National <\/a>crime<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Crime_Agency\"> Agency (NCA)<\/a> how she obtained \u00a3 11.5 million in property in <a href=\"http:\/\/about-britain.ru\/london\/rayon\/naytsbridj\/\">Knightsbridge<\/a>, Central London. It is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2018\/nov\/06\/police-arrest-zamira-hajiyeva-spent-16million-pounds-harrods?CMP=twt_gu\">the Guardian.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zamira Hajiyev is the wife of Jahangir Hajiyev, who was imprisoned in 2016 after being found guilty of embezzlement at the International Bank of Azerbaijan, where he was Chairman.<\/p>\n<p>Hajiyev was arrested by the London police after a request for her extradition from the authorities in Baku, where she was accused of embezzlement.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it became known that Hajiyev spent more than 16 million pounds in Harrods University for 10 years. Last week, jewelry worth 400 thousand pounds were seized from her and put up for auction.<\/p>\n<p>The NCA said that the source of funds used to buy jewelry, including a necklace Boucheron worth 120 thousand pounds, requires further investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Hajiyev denies any wrongdoings. Her lawyers stated: &#8220;the court&#8217;s Decision confirming the income of Zamira Hajiyeva&#8217;s unidentified origin should not be taken for any offence, whether on her or her husband&#8217;s part.
