Facebook said the content on both pages had included someone else\u2019s personal identifiable information, which violates its terms of service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"91\" data-total-count=\"698\">Facebook investigated the accounts after receiving a complaint, according to a spokeswoman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"267\" data-total-count=\"965\">\u201cWe want people to feel free to share and connect on Facebook, as well as to feel safe, so we don\u2019t allow people to publish the personal information of others without their consent,\u201d the spokeswoman, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/r-industry-chiefs-including-zuckerberg-named-to-board-of-influential-beijing-business-school-2014-10\">Charlene Chian<\/a>, said. She declined to say who had complained.<\/p>\n<p id=\"story-continues-1\" class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"114\" data-total-count=\"1079\">Mr. Guo did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The profile under Mr. Guo\u2019s name was not verified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"80\" data-total-count=\"1159\">The move comes at a sensitive time for both the Chinese government and Facebook.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"444\" data-total-count=\"1603\">China has taken several steps in recent months to clamp down\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/06\/09\/world\/asia\/china-celebrity-news-wechat.html?mcubz=3\">on public discourse<\/a>\u00a0ahead of a major Communist Party gathering scheduled to take place this month. President <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Xi_Jinping\">Xi Jinping<\/a>, the party\u2019s top leader, is widely expected to use the meeting to cement his power and to make personnel changes that could have wide repercussions in coming years.
