Vietnam is going to strengthen the fight against corruption

In Vietnam it is necessary to develop new control mechanisms for the timely detection of excess of powers of office, – to such conclusion came last in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi conference, devoted to urban development, including the fight against corruption as the main factor slowing down economic growth.

The event was attended by experts, as well as members of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist party of Vietnam ( CPV), Secretary of the people’s Committee of Hanoi, major General Nguyen van Dyok, etc.

During the discussion, such issues as the need to focus on the fight against corruption, which has a negative impact on the development of cities and regions, were raised.

In addition, it is planned to develop new control mechanisms for the timely detection of abuse of power (corruption), as well as to ensure exclusively legitimate spending of budget funds. Representatives of the people’s Committee of Hanoi noted that the local authorities expect to increase the level of security in Hanoi.

Recall a few days ago died, the President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang. His post for the first time in the history of the country was occupied by a woman Dang thi Ngok tin – 59-year-old lawyer with a master’s degree in politics. According to experts, during his presidency, Quang made efforts to combat corruption. During his tenure, however, he was severely criticized internationally for the massacre of dissidents, bloggers and journalists. However, Quang has successfully worked to improve relations with the United States, especially with regard to Chinese claims in the South China sea .

Chang Dai Quang had been seriously ill for the past few months, but he continued to perform his duties, despite the fact that he looked clearly tired and lost weight. After his death, the Vietnamese authorities did not find the exact nature of his illness, except for the mention of a “rare virus”.
